Well, there seems to be quite a bit of news lately.

My painting, “Sunflowers Basking on Crystal" has won third prize in the "Autumn Salon Show" at the Federation of Canadian Artists on Granville Island in Vancouver. (All present and past shows/exhibitions can be viewed through their website www.artists.ca.) Each painting has to be clicked on individually to see awards.

I have just finished the watercolor painting “Crystal Pears”. You can see it under “What's New”.

Since my last blog, I  spent some time in Langley Memorial Hospital, (nothing serious), specifically in Surgical Admissions, the Operating Room, Recovery Room and 2 North “B”. I just want to say that my experience was positive from start to finish. In each area I was treated with kindness, respect, patience and good humour. My care was excellent. Thank you to the Staff and Physicians!

My youngest granddaughter Noor (age five), has just completed her first acrylic painting on canvas. I'm attaching a photo of it since I'm quite proud of her continuing the family tradition.  Noor’s father is also an artist but has chosen to go a different direction with his career. My oldest grand daughter Sophie (age 11) paints in acrylic as well, but I don't have a photo of her work. There have now been artists in four generations of our family.
